Born in Bath . I went to school and college in London . After attaining a BA in Graphic Design from the London College of Printing , I worked as a packaging designer in London for Conran Associates and Michael Peters and Partners . I then ran my own business with two partners for 10 years .
In 1989 a short course with Roberta Gordon Smith inspired me to change direction to decorative painting and began my passion for Trompe L'oeil.
I returned to the west country in 1990 and set up Sky Blue at the Tithe Barn Workshops in Bradford on Avon. My idea was to have an outlet for my work and to sell other household accessories that would compliment my painted furniture and murals .
I am still there . (Although I moved to a larger unit some time ago) It is set in a beautiful garden with other artisans close by and I could not wish for a more pleasant place to work .My painting has developed a lot over the years and so has the shop . That is what keeps me interested , there is always a new project around the corner.
