A bit about me

I’m Jane — a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, certified Menopause coach, ultra runner, and big believer that midlife can be one of the most powerful and adventurous stages of life.

At 53, I still love embracing FUN (spontaneous dance breaks and singing my way around the trails are very much part of the experience!) alongside setting myself big challenges and continuing to push my own boundaries.

This year and next, my adventures include taking on some big endurance adventure events that remind me just how important strength, resilience, and consistent training become as we move through midlife. Because I don’t just coach this lifestyle — I live it too.

After years in the corporate world, I made the leap to build a coaching business centred around something I’m deeply passionate about: helping women get stronger, feel more capable, and realise that getting older doesn’t mean stepping back from challenge or adventure.

I believe in the power of small, consistent steps — the kind that build stronger bodies, more confident minds, and lasting change over time.

For a long time, I avoided strength training — and gyms in general — because I never really felt confident in what I was doing. Like many women, I saw exercise mainly as a way to make myself smaller, so it always felt like a chore rather than something to enjoy.

That changed during lockdown when I started taking online strength classes with a female coach who completely transformed the way I viewed exercise. For the first time, strength training felt empowering rather than boring

As I became more consistent, I grew stronger than I’d ever been before — but more importantly, I started to trust my body, appreciate what it was capable of, and realise that strength could open doors far beyond fitness alone.

That journey gave me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone, take on bigger challenges, and eventually go back to study and qualify as a personal trainer.

Now, I’m passionate about helping other midlife runners experience that same shift — from exercising because they feel they should, to training in a way that makes them feel strong, capable, confident, and excited about stepping out of their comfort zone.
